All the pupils congratulated and celebrated with their friend Sharon after her deserving win. 'Corn Ó hÉimhrín' was awarded this year to Sharon Redmond in 6th class. Each year the cup is awarded to the pupil showing much effort, progress and enthusiasm for Irish. The award has been given at the end of 'Seachtain Na Gaeilge' each year since 2010. The cup is named in memory of Martin Heverin, late Principal of the school. At the school's 150th celebrations in 2009, the family of Mr.Heverin (RIP) left a donation to the school for the promotion of the Irish language. Corn Ó hÉimhrín was purchased and continues to be awarded to a single pupil annually in his honour. Congratulations and well deserved Sharon, Maith thú!
