Crimlin school and Batafada band had a great day out at National Museum of Country Life on May 1st when we welcomed An Taoiseach as he launched the Official Opening of a new section of The Great Western Greenway from Lough Lannagh to The National Musem of Country Life.

Crimlin School and band gave an animated performance with a wonderful display of colour, vision and happiness. Pupils, staff and members of Crimlin Batafada Band united at The Museum to greet An Taoiseach and all those who accompanied him on his cycle from Lough Lannagh to the museum.

We are delighted to have this fantastic facility on our doorstep and we hope that our pupils and families will make much leisurely use of this greenway route as they can. After achieving our 4th Green Flag for Transport last year, pupils at our school make conscious efforts to walk/cycle to school when they can, realising the importance of a healthier environment and keeping active.
