Snugboro United are set to launch a major fund raising draw in order to complete works on their new grounds. The club was originally founded in 1986 from when all home matches were played at St Mary's Hospital grounds. It was always the aspiration of the club members to play on the club's own pitch and following some years of successful fund raising six acres of ground were purchased in 1998.
To date preparatory ground works have been undertaken and paid for the next step of the development in the completion of two all weather playing pitches. Some Lotto funding has now been secured but in order to raise the difference required a major draw will take place over the coming months. First prize will be a brand new Citroen motor car followed by various substantial runner-up prizes, which are being kindly sponsored by local businesses.
