Large turnout for Castlebar Chamber speed networking event
Over 40 different businesses were represented at the first speed networking event organised by Castlebar Chambers' enterprise committee under the chairmanship of Tom Canavan.
The event, which was a huge success, was held in the TF Royal Hotel and is expected to be repeated by the Chamber given its popularity. In attendance was Business Network Ireland's Sandra Hart who advised participants on how to network effectively. Some of the top networking tips circulated to participating businesses touched on designing a pitch, building relationships, following up, referrals, expanding your network, and informal networking. This event was kindly sponsored by the TF Royal Hotel, Aniar Solutions and Brian Cunningham Transport.
New Business Opportunities Ideas through Licensing and Co-operation.
The next event being organised by the enterprise committee will be New Business Opportunities Ideas through Licensing and Co-operation.
Licensing enables individuals or businesses the right to utilize specific patented technologies for a royalty fee. This can enable individuals or businesses to shorten the product development time, enhance quality of products or process, build a competitive advantage, increase sales revenue and also enables small companies who may not have the resources to conduct R&D, to provide new or superior products. Attendees will be able to find out how to license a new business idea and find a new marketplace for your business and much more. People interested in also learning about licensing ideas that they may have are also welcome to attend.
This event will take place on March 25th for further details contact Stephanie in the chambers office.
