Chefs of Mayo



The Chefs of Mayo held their annual general meeting in Knockranny House Hotel in Westport on Jan28 2001.
Over 40 people attended and a splendid evening was had by all. The meeting itself moved along at a brisk pace and the club nominated and elected new officers for the 2001 season. Chairman is Vincent Conlon of Campbell Catering and head Chef at Mayo Regional Hospital Castlebar, Secretary is Seamus O'Doherty Head Chef of the Welcome Inn Hotel in Castlebar, Treasurer is Frank Lyons head Chef of Knock House Hotel in Knock, and Mark Deegan head Chef of the Gateway Hotel in Swinford was appointed PRO. Stephen Fitzmaurice, the Head Chef of Hotel Westport was appointed Vice-Chairman. All other sub committees will be appointed at our next meeting on Feb. 26th, in the Gateway Hotel in Swinford at 9.30 pm. Our new Club Jumpers were handed out and membership was taken from all those present. Frank Lyons reported on the clubs finances and all are in good shape. Our newsletter remains our largest source of income.
