With the Cheltenham Festival just a matter of days away, the Castle Inn in Castlebar will host another of their now legendary preview evenings on Friday evening next starting at 8pm. These evenings have previously been full of fun, laughter and the more serious side of trying to pick winners for the festival and this year will be no exception with some of the finest minds in racing gathering to mark the card ahead of the first ever four day festival. Those gathering include Pat Gallagher, a man well known for his choosing winners as listeners to Mid West Radio can prove, and many surprise guests on the night. Those who attend will also get the chance of betting for the price of a raffle ticket with free bets for the festival generously sponsored by Bruce Betting, Ladbrokes and Paddy Powers. As always the evening is hosted by the Castle Inn and MC on the night, returning to where it all began will be John Mulligan who has the difficult job of keeping order. Previous nights have gone into the record books and this one will be no different with some of the finest racing brains in the west of Ireland gathering for this special evening. A great night’s entertainment is assured and everyone is asked to come early as a large crowd is expected.
