Connacht Branch, Golfing Union of Ireland : The Handicap Secretaries & Junior Convenors Seminar/Workshop schedule for Wednesday March 21st at Loughrea Golf Club has been deferred due to the current Foot & Mouth Alert. The two remaining Seminars/Workshops scheduled for Wednesday March 28th at Tubbercurry Golf Club and Wednesday April 4th at Castlebar Golf Club are still on. These will be monitored closely though to allow for any developments or new directive from the Department of Agriculture to the Golfing Union of Ireland.

St. Patrick's Day Parade: Unfortunately the parade has been postponed. Hopefully it will take place in full summer once the F&M scare has passed.

Arts: The performance by Joanna Mac Gregor who was due to appear at the Linenhall on Wednesday, 21st March at 8:30 pm has been cancelled due to foot and mouth considerations.
