Takes me back. I don't suppose any of these troopers would resort to using bicycle chains to neatly fold the pants over the leggings, or putting soap in the trouser crease, and putting the pants under the mattress, to give the sharp gilldy look ? I don't suppose either that they had to turn brown boots to black boots, using only polish, at the changeover.
