I believe you are absolutely right JDP.I knew it was the Burren hills in the rt backgroud but couldnt figure out where the photo was taken from.I just found my copy of "Through Fagans Gates" and on page 116 is a photo of the old "barn" church at the end of the 19th century.Theres no doubt that is the same church in Aidens photo.Havent had time to check dates etc but I wonder if the photo was taken from on top of Christ Church? or is the angle off a bit? Is the chimney from the gasworks? Great photos from Aiden but this one is definitely a gem.Good eye JDP.
