As far as I can remember (50/60 years ago) there was a man named Morrison, an auctioneer, I believe,living on Market Square, next to Corcorans. I think there were railings at the front of the house. Mr. Morrison was a native of Westport. The Montgomery family also lived on Market Square. They had a daughter, Mary, who, I think, wrote a cookery column for the Connaught Telegraph; also a son, 'Marshal' Montgomery. Their mother may have been a Barrett; had a sister married to Mattie Joyce, Glenisland. Could be wrong, memory dims with age.
