Yes it would seem that the flow off the river was altered more north/west to the other side of the Foxford road which is now Main street.Credit to Sean Smyth for his research.Was there some houses of ill-repute to attract the name Soho?We also had the house at barrack bridge named the Brass Castle at the entrance to the Military Barracks.
