i remember it well ..and was at the auction there of its effects approx 1967 ithink brian moran was the auctioneer ....i remember buying 2 long seats ,suitable for a pub ,,which i later swapped with a publican ,for a beautiful fire surround ,which is the centrepiece of my home to this day ,,,,and speaking of carneys of castle st ,,,,,remember rosemary @miss carney ,,,,maths and singing teacher as far as i can remember ,or my impression was that she didnt appreciate pupils who were not as gifted intelectually as herself, she was also accredited with a statement that she decided to remain single ,because she did not wish to be a slave to any man ,,please correct me if i am wrong as ,i would have no wish to discredit anyone
