As a wee gasur in castlebar during those times I was a frequent visitor at the Carney household.I believe there were three 'Rosemary's' resident there.The matriarch,'Rosemary'(violin player)married to Pierce.The sister Rosemary(Cello player)who had eyes like Marty Feldman.She lived in an apartment within the house but separated by a series of stairs Wholly independent,and single, by her choice!. I made a point of navigating the stairwells to visit her whenever I was there. Her demeanour was friendly if somewhat staid, She was a woman of few words.To the point; your status ,your health,progress,and always ,"would you like a cup of tea!?".Daughter Rosemary was the 3rd. I played in "The Garden" for many years. A wilderness of stumbling sheds,crumbling walls,plants and tress crawling pell mell wherever they pleased. I had great fun.
