I agree 100% that a memorial plaque should be places to remember all those who lived and worked in St. Mary's Hospital.

Some form of memorial should also be erected at the Sacred Heart Home to commemorate all that lived and died there , many who died from the effects of the Great Famine.

Many visitors come to Ireland nowadays trying to trace their roots and are amazed not to find any such memorials.

Perhaps some of our local councillors, members od HSE or Heritage Officer Mayo County Council might take up these matters.

Bruno.
