Had a look at this link. It implies that Frank Moran the Heavyweight who went 20 rounds with Jack Johnson in a title fight was from Wesport. I can find no evidence to back this up. No less an authority than Eamonn Horkan wrote the article so I am wondering what the source is. I understood Moran was from Pittsburgh.
