Frank Moran, as far as I am aware, came from Westport/Newport area. I believe he was a relative of Joe McGinn, who had a monumental stoneworks at McHale Road many years ago (where Rabbette's furniture is now located). Wally Basquill was a neighbour of mine in McHale Road at one time, an outstanding boxer. His brother Michael, Newport Road, Castlebar, also a fine boxer, may be of some help in tracing his career.
