Hi! I have roots in Castlebar and my mother and I visited in 1978. It was a rainy day and we arrived by train. We went into a coffee shop and met Patrick Jordan of the Church of the Holy Rosary. He bought us lunch and took us to the church to find records of our ancestors. Even though the family had moved from the area, thanks to his efforts we received correspondence from a cousin approximately two years later. I will always remember his kindness to complete strangers. Thanks for letting me share.
