Now your sturring the memory Oliver,i remember it well. There was an all out round up of children by Mothers.A few gates and railing got bent by cattle gone mad,It was a sight and sound for sore eyes .The factory was of great benefit to the road and elsewhere, with work and meat .It was also a great inconvenience to Mothers down our way, with smutts from the Factory chimneys destroying washed clothes on the lines.Pigs roaring in the night was another familiar sound down our end.How about blood flowing down fairgreen hill during a kill.People now days would find it hard to believe. Here is a question for ya oliver, how did the higher ends and lower ends come to be.It seemed to be like the war of the buttons between both ends ,have you seen that film. One end was up to o'connors house, and from there the other.Cheers from the bar.
