I'd be in favour of that,I might get a chance to get a song in.The original C/bar song contest was set up to try and get a good song about C/bar,but it never came.Later Brendan Magee wrote a good one=The day that I left Castlebar.Talking about the Spirit of Mayo,How about this for a coincidence.There was a National competition back in the late 50s to create a new Irish Dance.Mrs Dot Redmond created a dance called The Races of Castlebar.The dance won the compitition.40 years later the spirit of Mayo happened,new dance,soon after came the River Dance,the rest is history.There is an exhibition in the library at the moment called Races of Castlebar 1798.?
