Alfie J.Faulkner,eldest son of Dr. A.J.Faulkner,Main Street was guest of Honour at the Mayo Teacher's Dinner Dance in the TF Hotel, as he was the President of the INTO for the Centennial Year; 1968-1969.He was welcomed by his fellow classmates of St.Gerald's College and techers whom trained with him.The Minister of Education (name not given) attended as he was a one-time pupil of AJ Faulkner in Athlone and a good time was had by all.
