Thanks Murrisk, The passing of time has indeed changed the landscape.Joxser called me one time to lament the fact that he had not heard the sound of our beloved corncrake in over 20 yrs. We were not sure were it migrated to ,but it always came back to County Mayo. Now silence spells it's proable absence as a species.
