Oliver, your posting has brought back all sorts of fond memories of those days long ago in Castlebar. I, for one, well remember the excitement on "the road" (McHale Road) when the lorries carrying all the equipment down to the fairgrounds went trundling down the road. Life was much simpler then. there were no security issues to be considered. The challenges for us was "how do we gain admission" without having to pay the admission fee. Well I can assure you that we managed to achieve this through careful planning and using all of the resources at our disposal (and money was one of them as this was a scarce commodity to those of us living on McHale Road. Keep up the great postings, Oliver. I wish I had your command of the Gaelic.
