Come on over to the sports field for a game of 3 to get in,was the call.Memories of those good old days still ring through.How about searching the dump at the factory end,hoping to find a great treasure,a toy, or something that could be turned into something else,we could mabie find good pram wheels and make a go cart .Scouring the park after a big match looking for a few pence,hoping to find that ellusive half crown,and then away up to maileas for toffies,sweets,6 pennie ice cream,a few gob stoppers.Do ye remember the little spring opposite jackson ruanes,the water was un real to drink during the summer.I never paid into a Match ever in mc hale park either/who on the road did,it was our sports field/playground.I used to watch an odd match from the window/those with good heads for heights went on to the roofs.
