I learned to use the clothes iron at an early stage in my life. We used to sell programmes for Gerry McDonnell of the GAA. We brought back the cash and the unsold programmes the following day. After the game we would collect the old programmes and use the clothes iron to take the creases out of them. they were then returned as unsold programmes and we kept the cash.
