Seanie Kelly always had a radio playing low in the background as he worked in his Castle Street barbers salon. Thinking back, it was most likely tuned to the BBC Light Programme (the forerunner of BBC Radio 2 which replaced it in 1967). Whenever I catch sound of the 'Music While You Work' theme I smell Brylcreme and I'm right back in a queue of bored young boys awaiting their turn with Seanie in the big chair!
