Here in Birmingham we had lots of West of Ireland men who had names like that IE HorseDelaney, the Rat McDermot, The Bull sweeney, The Mouse, The Quiet Man, Elephant John,The Bear Omalley,The kitten, to name but just a few & all could be found in The Antalope Or Mermaid Public house at weekends
