Compliments to you again Ollie,
Happy New Year to you........Memories

My Dad Paddy Corcoran done the post on the route you are talking about for nearly 40 years.

They took great pride in the wearing of their uniform. The Cap had to be spot on......The peke had to be doctered by dad to look like one of NYPD Officers .
Also the Heavy Coats were great throw overs for our Beds on Cold Nights.....old ones.... that is. Hail.Rain and Snow the letters were delivered.I done a few Christmases myself....tempory postman.Do you remember it used to be so busy at Xmas that they used the Boxing Club on the Mall for the parcels.

Would anyone Have a Photo of the old Green 3 wheeled Baskets that were used by Postmen back in $$$$$$ .Dad used to give us a spin in one of them,we could look out through the reads and no one could see us.Great Craic.

Happy New Year to all.
