Is anyone able to tell me where I can turn to find out what the Catholic Irish did for being able to attain clothing during the period of about 1800/1810 in the Crossmolina/Lahardaun/Castlebar area of Ireland?

I understand they were destitute poor and could not hold jobs so the question is how did they manage to find clothing to dress thier growing population? It one of the questions I've always had about my family in those times that I've never been able to find an answer to.

Any suggestions at all will be appreciated.
