I see, according to RTE, that parades in some parts of the country have been abandoned because of high insurance costs and lack of interest. So full marks to Castlebar and the parade organisers who keep the show on the road year after year. My family and I will be on the streets of Castlebar on St. Patrick's Day lapping up the atmosphere and enjoying the craic. Long live the parade!
