Coincidently the roof of the monastery at Chapel St is
being replaced at the same time as the Convent roof has
almost dissappeared.
Any good little boys out there "volunteer" for a stint
in the brothers garden.Picking spuds or weeding for
"Brother Aloyius who is going to Mauritius"
He would repay the workers with a bun baked by Mrs Laveele
from St Patricks who was the cook around that time.
Pity to see however that the beautiful tree in the front garden
is gone.The Cherry Blossom in full bloom always marked the end
of Winter to me.
