I wonder if there is any interest in recording the names of fields around Castlebar and district. As development proceeds the landscape is being changed forever and names like Jacko's field will also be lost. These names are probably known only to the residents of the district. Most people in the town would not be familiar with the usage - I certainly wan't. Any takers ?
