Thank you for your reply, I had a feeling that I would be mistaken about the Irish Language being mandatory in the educational system. However to be sure; am I correct in saying that if you fail Irish at the 'Inter -Certificate' or 'Leaving -Certificate' you do not! fail the entire examination?. Not to endorse the future student's lack of motivation by this exposure!- however you will be sent to the "Russian Front". Your positive affirmation that The Irish language is not! dead, but alive and well and growing! in the Emerald Isle, brightened my day. Gura a mile maith agut.
