Old graves were found when the foundations were being excavated. Sometimes there were remnants of coffins and bones, and sometimes only bones. I don´t remember any mass graves. The remains were properly recoffined and reburied in the (now old) cemetery. Church records should show where these burials took place. There was also an old burial ground behind St. Mary´s. There are new houses built on top of this graveyard.
