There are a number of Mc Cormack families in and around Ccastlebar. The most well known would of course be Mc Cormacks the builders.There were a number in that family, John P, Joe, Ger, Jimmy and their families.The connections then go to Irwins, Egans and a few more families. Where to start in the problem! Butch, the Johnny Mc Cormack you mention now lives in London and returns on a regular basis. He and his brother Michael were the two sons of Jimmy and lived on the Westport Road.
Really the best to inform us of this is non other than Auld Stock himself, and hopefully he will take up the story from here.
