Castlebar Mitchels     2-6 : Pearses Roscommon 1-3

Castlebar Mitchels continued on their winning way in Ballinasloe last Sunday with a 6 point winning margin against the local Padraig Pearses club. Pearses made the early running and lead by 2 points till Nathan o Malley scored his first goal of a very impressive debut at minor level. He soon followed with a point and  then a  point from Shane Queenan put us a goal clear. Pearses scored a point just on half time to leave two points between the teams. Castlebar started the second half in good style and another goal by Nathan O'Malley followed by some impressive free taking by John Cotter and a huge point from over 100 yards by Stephen Fitzgerald put the game beyond doubt. A late goal by Pearses was their only score of the second half. Well done to all especially to Tony Sweeney in goals Joe Redmond, Laurence Kenchington, Shane Queenan, Nathan O'Malley, Coleman Munnelly.
