Castlebar Gospel Choir

Come and join Castlebar Gospel Choir in an evening of inspiring music with a concert showcasing the range of singing talent to be found in Castlebar. Castlebar Gospel Choir (originally Mayo Gospel Choir) was set up by Niamh O'Kelly and Fr. Michael Murphy in 1999 and has provided rousing accompaniment to Castlebar Sunday Mass for the past 7 years. The Choir released their first CD, Gloria, last year in support of the Simon Community and since January this year composer Donal Sarsfield has acted as Musical Director. Why go to Harlem when the Linenhall is just down the road? An evening of spirituals, hymns, folk songs along with a few other surprises. Prepare to be uplifted in style!
