A beautiful warm summer’s day added to the atmosphere of fun at the Ballina Street Festival, where thousands of people from all parts thronged the thoroughfares of the town. Blacksmiths, wood-turners, harness makers, were just a few of the old trades demonstrated to interested audiences. The Garda Siochana Band, Jazz Bands, and Ceile bands, filled the streets with music. The pictures below give some idea of the festivities.
