Thousands of people crowded the streets of Banagher for a horse-fair, an annual event, which attracts buyers and sellers from all over the country. This fair was once one of the biggest in Europe but went into decline before being revived some years ago. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength, and this years gathering was one of the biggest. In early times, the British army bought many of its horses at Banagher. These are some pictures taken on Sunday, September 18th 2005.
