Comments: Greetings to all in Castlebar- while a lot of my buddies have passed on to greater pastures I have fond memories of Castlebar.I was stationed in Mil Barracks from 1952 to 1962 as Bn Adm. Officer (BAO)to the FCA. I should like to remember Paddy McGinty, Jude Ainsworth,Joe Ryan, Noel Rogan, Pat Lavelle, Tom McHugh, Jimmy McCormack, Paul Egan and Eddie Lynn. A special greeting to my old army buddy Terry O'Donoghue and to my Brother Ginger Daly who was a Commandant in FCA. Forgive me for not remembering more of those illustrious names who have passed on to greener pastures. May the year 2000 bring peace and happiness to everyone lucky enough to live in Castlebar and may the peace in the North of Ireland continue to get stronger and stronger.
