Well it was a great day out by all accounts, okay the results in both the minor and the senior game didn't go our way but our boys gave a good account of themselves and sure they're not out of it yet.

A uniquely Irish event this, if you've never gone to a GAA match then don't knock it 'til you're tried it - you can taste the excitment and feel the dread.

Pearse Stadium - a mighty facility !

Heaven and hell all at the same time is the only was to describe it.

Oh the Green and Red of Mayo !

We were lucky enough to spend some time after the match taking another view of the heavens at the airshow in Salthill.

Twas a nice way to round off the day.

Point for Galway

Point for Mayo

Can you spot the four legged Mayo fan ?
