SUPERVALU

WALK OF REMEMBRANCE

SUNDAY 24TH APRIL

IN AID OF

MAYO ROSCOMMON HOSPICE

On Sunday 24th April next, Supervalu, will once again sponsor a 10k walk in Castlebar in aid of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. This will be a Walk Of Remembrance, to commemorate our departed family and friends. The walk which will be at 2.00 p.m., will take place around the town, commencing and finishing at the Supervalu Shopping Centre where there will be tea and refreshments for all walkers afterwards. Sponsorship cards are available at the Hospice Office at Main St., Knock, Tel. 094-9388666, or entry without sponsorship is just €10. This will be an ideal opportunity to remember our departed family and friends as well as a pleasant way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon walk. Participants may like to wind up the evening by attending the big Concert…..ROCK ‘N CEOL in the Traveller’s Friend Royal Theatre that night. Performing are some of Ireland’s greatest Traditional, Rock and Jazz musicians. Mairtin OConnor accompanied by Garry OBriain and guests will play a feast of Traditional Irish music. John Hoban, singer, songwriter, journeyman, who has sung and played from Glenisland to Australia, Canada and the U.S.A. Jimmy Faulkner, a founder member of Hotfoot and the Fleadh Cowboys, and recognized as one of the best guitar players in the world, leads his band of Noel Bridgeman, drums, Martin Curry, Bass, and Greg Boland on lead guitar. Individually they are brilliant, but as a group they play Rock and Jazz classics that leave audiences begging for more. All proceeds from both events will go directly to providing Palliative Care to those who need it in the area. Hospice care is provided free of charge and is a valuable service to the entire community. So all you budding walkers, why not give the Hospice Office a call and invite your family and friends to join in this WALK OF REMEMBERANCE, on Sunday 24th April, or if you would like to support the Foundation and are not in a position to walk, why not come along to a feast of wonderful music in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on that night.

The Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation are deeply indebted to the Management and Staff of Supervalu for their continued support.
