SINGLES BALL (SATURDAY FEB 15)

Single? Unattached? Spend Valentines in Galway, at the sexiest Singles Event to hit the West of Ireland in a decade! Guys are getting into tuxes & gals are getting glammed-up for an evening of top-quality, tailor-made fun in the city’s newest 5-star hotel. Brendan Courtney – the charismatic presenter of RTE’s Wanderlust and ITV’s Blind Date – has been commissioned to compère the various… shall we call them ‘games’ (?!) that have been lined up to get people talking, laughing and mixing on the nite. The €90 ticket price includes wine with the 5-course dinner, as well as entry in a draw for 10 fantastic prizes, none of which are worth under €100. And, wait for it, top prize on the night… a trip for 2 to sunny South Africa! Clearly a case of "be there or be square"!

TIP OF AFRICA TREK (MARCH 2003)

The fourth in a series of highly successful sponsored walks in South Africa in a 2-year period, this time in the ‘Kingdom of the Zulu’ on the sub-tropical east coast of this amazing country. We keep our team sizes small – somewhere between 20-30 people – which makes our events totally unique. So whether you’re motivated to go because you can identify with the cause, whether you want to make new friends, or whether you’re simply attracted to the African continent, we guarantee you an unforgettable experience! We also have many more exciting international challenges in the pipeline, so watch this space! In the meantime, here’s what previous participants had to say about our last trip:

"The CROI TREK was well organised."

"I found the whole trip excellent."

"I feel great having completed the 130km. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. South Africa is a different world!"

"There was a great spirit of friendship and all the support staff were 100%."

"Excellent accommodation and great food!"

"I will never forget this experience – Thank You!"

"It was a great Trek, very different to last year, keep up the good work and roll on our next Trek!"

"This is the first time I ever took part in a sponsored walk. It has been both an exhilarating and mind-blowing experience. I have never enjoyed myself so much with a group of people before."

CROI GALA BALL (FRIDAY MARCH 14)

Now in it’s 16th year, CROI’s annual Gala Ball – which incorporates an antique and jewellery auction – has established a reputation as Galway’s glitziest gala occasion. The event takes place in the Corrib Great Southern Hotel and early booking is advised, as demand for tickets is once again expected to exceed availability.

LONDON CITY MARATHON (APRIL 2003)

To experience the thrilling atmosphere of running through the streets of one of the world’s most famous cities, cheered on by thousands of onlookers, join the CROI TEAM on Sunday, April 13th for this year’s London City Marathon. We’ll organise everything from race entry to flights and accommodation, just give us a call!

‘TOUR DE LOUGH CORRIB’ FUN CYCLE (SUN MAY 25)

After almost a decade, this Corrib Oil partnership event – a sponsored cycle around Lough Corrib – is as popular as ever! There’s a choice of 2 distances – 25 miles as far as Peacocks in Maam Cross (with transport for bikers and bikes back to Galway) or 75 miles for the more serious cyclists, which is all the way around the Lough, back into Galway City. There are plenty of refreshment stops en route and a great day out is guaranteed!

WOMENS MINI MARATHON (MON JUNE 2)

Run, walk or crawl around the streets of Dublin City for CROI on the June Bank Holiday! We hope to enter a bigger team than ever before in 2003, so there’s an APB out for guys in drag to join the ladies this year. The atmosphere in the capitol can only be described as electric, so if you’ve never gone up for this 10km event before, live life the NIKE way… just do it! We’ll give you a full sponsor pack, including a funky free T-shirt and useful tips to help you prepare.

GALWAY SUMMER RACING FESTIVAL (SUN 3 AUG)

Go to the Galway Summer Racing Festival in sumptuous style… relax in our top-quality hospitality pavilion… with celebrity guests… and a fabulous entertainment line-up! Our RaceDay kicks off with a Champagne Reception at noon; the ticket price includes wine with your 4-course meal and there’s the chance of winning several valuable prizes, including overseas holidays. This is both an ideal corporate hospitality opportunity for companies, as well as a great day out for people who like to enjoy the finer things in life in the company of good friends.

NEW YORK CITY MARATHON (NOV 2003)

This is the Number One marathon in the world! Last year we took 40 men and women from all walks of life and from right across the west of Ireland (and from even further afield) to The Big Apple. Some ran the race, while others walked it at their own pace. If you commit to this challenge, we’ll provide you with fundraising support, free fitness assessment and training opportunities. We promise you a slick-run operation, from event entry to travel and accommodation arrangements. Entries for the NYCM are incredibly sought-after, with only a limited number available for Ireland. By signing up with the CROI TEAM early, you’re guaranteed a place. So don’t delay, bite the bullet and call today!

12-DAY ADVENTURE CHALLENGE (NOV 2003)

This is a sponsored walk with a difference! Hike the third-largest canyon in the world, see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino) and experience the thrill of rafting down the river for 2 days. Non-swimmers welcome. Walking only option also available.
