There used to be a fella with a stall on the bridge on Main Street in Castlebar selling Dilisk (outside what was Lavelles Bakery but is now Extravision).

I can remember clearly the big purple mounds of it that he'd have heaped up on top of the table and an Avery scales alongside it.

You can now buy sanatised little packets of Dilisk in the supermarkets (SuperValu in Castlebar did stock this salty little snack at one stage but I haven't bought it in a while).
