three generations of teachers in st. gerald's

Posted by Royal on April 03, 2008 at 17:23:30:

I came across an article in the Connaught Telegraph from 1968, where Patrick Dunne, 23, took up a new teaching appointment in St. Gerald’s College, Castlebar. He discovered that one of his colleagues on the teaching staff was Joseph Gilmartin, 36, - who had taught him at the college six years previously. Also, uniquely, Joe’s former teacher Edward Nally, 62, was also on the staff.
It was the first time in the college’s history that three generations of teachers were on the staff at the one time.
