Probably not the right forum for this, but here goes,Are you a Castlebar business person or a relation to one? They certainly let the Song Contest down, took all the business that it brought into the town but gave nothing back.
The Beatles look foolish to the youth of today as will todays top groups look to the youth of the future.Thats the way life is. Now obviously by your statement you are no youth (It was actually Onion) and you have memories of the Song Contest. Had the business people of Castlebar sponsored the Castlebar Song Contest it would still be going strong and the songs of today would be for todays tastes in music. Thats it!
