a cara.....thank you ....i believe the boy mentioned was paddy lally....his parents owned a pub on main street....he had a "disability"......and certainly had learning disabilities he was beaten and punched on a regular basis.....paddy was a nice lad .....and in my recollection of him he always wore a cap........i remember a horrendous flogging the late frank tonra got one morning he got into school late after walking from ballymacrac in the rain ....he was flailed by bro abban.....
...the irony of these brothers was that they all congregated in the back of murtaghs pub at night....to relieve their hangovers they waged war on the class.......my memory is sharp and long.....
