Did the Freestones move in 1919 or did they get a new landlord?
Does the house still exist?
The note that was given in 1954 and related to the dropping of the letter in 1918 states: "... dropped on our Lawn by Captain Dykes. It caused a sensation. Our maid hid under the stairs and the country people all around ran for their lives. We had 3 [rows?] of Yew trees, centuries oldm and he had to hover sometime to land the letter on the lawn. [cut].. to our amazement it fell at our feet ". My question: Can the house still be identified? Are the rows of trees still there?
