Part of our Strategic Plan:
Over the last 12 months Castlebar Mitchels has been working at producing a Strategic Plan for the next 5 years. We engaged in an extensive consultative process with our members on the future priorities of our Club. The key priorities are contained in the Clubs Strategic Plan 2017 - 2021.
Feedback From The Consultative Process:
One of the many findings from our consultative process was the need for all year round, floodlit, training and playing facilities. Such facilities are essential for our players, both adults and underage, to maintain high standards of skills and fitness. In response to this requirement, the Club has embarked on building a floodlit 4G Astro pitch on our own grounds.
Details Of The 4G Pitch:
The new 4G Astro Turf Pitch will measure 60 by 86 meters and will incorporate a 5 meter high Ball Wall. The Astro Turf area will be enclosed with a new 3 meter high fence and enhanced floodlighting of the area.
Funding and Finance:
The provision of the 4G pitch will be a once off capital project. In order to finance this project the Club has to raise funds and we are asking supporters to contribute a minimum of €120 each to the Development Fund.
You can choose to make a one off payment of €120 or choose a second option of 10 x €12 monthly payments.
By making this payment you will be contributing to the development of Gaelic Football in Castlebar and Mayo and you will be helping to improve the facilities available to our players.
By committing to this payment you will be included in the Mayo County Board draw, which has a prize fund of €97,000.
Over 90 percent of your €120 contribution will go directly to fundraising for this 4G Pitch while at the same time you will be in the draw for 222 Cash Prizes on offer by Mayo County Board.
An Adult Player or an Officer from the Club Executive will be contacting you to contribute to this fundraising initiative or alternatively you can support the fundraising project online via our website.
We need your support to make this project happen.
