Castlebar Mitchels Under 13 Mayo Finalists 2007

Castlebar Mitchels Under 13 team advanced to the final of the Under 13 League on Saturday last with a resounding win over Kiltimagh in the semi-final. It was a powerhouse display with many excellent individual performances, particularly among the forwards, but more than anything this was a team result. The other two teams who have yet to contest the other semi-final are Aughamore and Swinford. Castlebar have already played Swinford in the league stages and the standard of football on the day was superb. On that occasion Mitchels just edged it in the dying minutes by one solitary point. The final is set for next Saturday, October 6th at 12 p.m. in Kiltimagh. Could we have a rematch? It's possible, though Aughamore might have something to say about that. The team mentors are calling on all parents to make a special effort to support the lads on Saturday. It's sure to be a great occasion.
