In the presence of Uachtaran CLG Christy Cooney, together with a host of dignitaries, families friends and former players as well as a large audience the Josie Munnelly and Gerry McDonald pitches were re-dedicated as well as the Martin McManamon suite in An Sportlann on Sunday 6 June 2010. The ceremony was preceded by hurling, ladies football and Bord na nOg games and culminated in the Prendergast Cup final in which Castlebar defeated Ballintubber.  The Uachtaran also presented medals to under GAA players as well certificates of qualification to coaches.
